Students enrolled in a medial/graduate program in Canada who are interested in attending an academic program or event related to food allergies are eligible to apply for a travel grant.
Food Allergy Canada is offer
ing two travel grants each valued at $500 through the “Pryde Family Travel Grant“. This travel grant must be used to offset the costs of attending an academic program or event related to food allergies, such as a conference, workshop, semester abroad, or clinical placement program (i.e. this is not for tuition).
Applicants must outline their reasons for choosing the prog
ram or event and the anticipated benefits of their participation in relation to their educational goals. This travel grant may only be received once. Children of Food Allergy Canada staff, board members, or consultants are not eligible.
This grant has been established in honour of the Pryde family and their friends as well as the friends and family of Sean Delaney, who have hosted The Sean Delaney Golf Memorial Classic since 2007, the year that Sean passed away from a severe allergic reaction. Since this time, more than $3.3 million has been raised for Food Allergy Canada, in support of food allergy research and education programs.
This travel grant is being provided to assist students enrolled in medical or graduate programs in Canada.
