Choosing Wisely Canada is a campaign headed by the Canadian Medical Association and the University of Toronto to help clinicians and patients engage in conversation about unnecessary tests, treatments and procedures. They recently created a toolkit to support interventions to reduce the excessive use of antipsychotic medication administration in long term care.
Its content is derived from a similar toolkit created by Alberta Health Services. The toolkit is intended for physician groups, clinical services or organizations to help reduce antipsychotic prescribing.
